Amelia and her first Thanksgiving.

Big weekend for AMF. Her Aunts from New Brunswick came for a visit and brought a whack of wonderful presents. There were toys and clothes and all sorts of wonderful things that made all sorts of strange nosies.  Shiny things with bells and lights that really seemed to have no purpose.  Maybe in the future it would make more sense.  Either way it always made her feel good when her Aunts fought to hold her, each proclaiming to be her favourite and happiest to be around.  She remained silent when asked to prove the statements of pride, secretly wishing she had the skills to explain she loved them both equally (not to mention that she much prefer to sit with her father and play Halo).

I am super cute, but miffed.

After her Aunts had left to return home, Amelia decided to go for a drive.  She brought her parents and the big furry thing along.  She left the smaller furry thing at home, it seemed to like her less, and gave her a wide berth in the house.  She video taped the event for posterity.

Her first major social engagement, a dinner party hosted by friends, was a smashing success.  The theme at this particular soiree was Thanksgiving, appropriate because, it was in fact Thanksgiving. There were were many new couples at the event that Amelia hadn't met before, but by maintaining her usual social graces, the night flew by as if she had slept through of it. A bit of a wall flower, Amelia stayed at the edge of the crowded dinning area, observing the other party goers and nursing her drinks. One potentially embarrassing portion of the evening  was averted by her socially minded mother.  Amelia, in her shyness, drank to much and became violently ill, perhaps even soiling herself. Her mother saved the day by providing a fresh change of clothing, which she carried for just such an occasion.   Amelia loved her mother.
Randy never smiles.
