This Christmas, and for most of January, we loaded the baby, dog and way too many belongings into the back of the Subaru and headed to Toronto, stopping to visit family on the way. Our main reason was to connect Amelia with the Toronto contingency, but also to take a break from our regular routine. It was an awesome trip. There were a ton of pictures and video to be sorted through and I have finished most of that this weekend.
As a note, if your not part of the family this may seem very boring. I feel like I'm putting together an advanced technology slide show, the kind that fathers would force their visitors to watch in the den during the 1970's. Feel free to stop looking, it's the beauty of the Internet.
There is a video at the end with most of the footage from the trip, you may also stop watching this as well, guilt free, courtesy of the ambiguity of the Internet.
Our first stop was at the Chisholms in St John.
| This a person I don't know holding AMF. Just kidding, this is Sister Maryanne from Ireland, actually we just met so I really don't know her. She seemed really nice though. |
| Jerome with his first delivered eggnog, turkey carving knife, and untucked shirt. Enjoy buddy, enjoy. |
| Lovely photo of the Chisholms in their entirety. |
| AMF in observation mode. |
| The Crowhursts holding AMF and being photo bombed. |
| Happy baby. |
The next leg of the journey found us at my Mothers place, after a brutal one day drive from St John to Toronto. AMF slept most of the way and traveled really well, Rochelle on the other hand, cried the whole way.
| Mom and AMF. |
From Mom's place we traveled to see Gregor in the heart to the city.
| Brother and sister in the middle of Spadina waiting for the street car (And a side note for the people using the street car, when a person gets on wearing a baby on their front, just don't stand there staring like your feet have grown roots, get out of the goddammed way so I don't have to push you like the asshole cattle that your impersonating so well). |
| Me and AMF in Kensington market. I think she really enjoyed the cultural aspect. |
| Under the all seeing eye of Shiva. |
Next was off to Scott and Carols, with visitations from the entire clan.
| Scott and Ryan. Ryan loves watching Scott, Scott loves watching football. |
| Mother Nat and Mason, who was all business that day. |
| Suit and tie, yes sir... all business. |
| Rochelle and AMF. Amelia really likes cards. |
| Joel and Georgia. Joel just turned 43 yesterday, haha. |
| Carol and Ryan |
| And wee Ben. |
| The ladies and their offspring. |
| Ava and her smile. |
Another stop we made was at Dad and Jills.
| Here Rochelle had her first coffee since AMF's birth with surprising effects. |
| Dad and Jill and a rather skeptical looking AMF. |
And as promised the video. If you have made it to this point, then you must have a vested interest. Enjoy!
